形態特徵

An erect shrub; stems tomentose when young, with a few small prickles.
Leaves simple, chartaceous, oblong to oblong-ovate, 6–12 cm long, 2.5–5 cm wide, long-acuminate, rounded to broadly cordate at base, unevenly serrate, hirsute on the midrib above, slightly puberulous on nerves and veins beneath, lateral veins 6–9 per side, the midrib and veins slightly impressed above, raised beneath; petioles 5–20 mm long, tomentose to glabrous, sometimes with a few prickles; stipules caducous, oblong, up to 1 cm long, entire or with a few teeth.
Inflorescence a terminal raceme, up to 6 cm long; pedicels 1.5–2 cm long, tomentose, prickly and with few to many short-stalked glandular hairs; bracts narrowly oblong to ovate, always apically divided or with few teeth on the margin; calyx-lobes triangular-ovate with pointed apex, 5–8 mm long, outside tomentose and with some short-stalked glands, sometimes sparsely prickly, inside tomentose; petals obovate, 5–6 mm long, clawed, both surfaces shortly hairy; stamens and pistils glabrous.
Collective fruits globose, 7–10 mm long.

分布

台灣 : Endemic. Central mountains, common at altitude around 2,000 and 2,800 m.
